BAM!

Have you ever been so focused on something and you go to turn around and you find someone is standing right behind you? “BAM!”, there is a person right there you didn’t expect to see. You gasp! It startles you and  surprises you! You try to slow your heart down. Once you both calm down, you both laugh about it.

Sin is like that. When we’re sinning, we’re so focused on it that we don’t see anything else around us. We have tunnel vision. We have kept ourselves occupied and when we turn around, “BAM!” Jesus is right there! We know what Jesus saw. Jesus IS always behind us. He sees us no matter what direction we are looking. That sin He sees is a stronghold, keeping us facing the wrong direction. “Fix our eyes on Jesus.” Heb.12:2

Once we see Jesus our heart should pick up pace at the sin we’ve committed. We calm our heart by repenting, which is to turn the other way. The very second we turn, He is right there! “I am with you always!” Matt. 28:20 A good Father is always there, waiting for you to turn. “I keep my eyes always on the Lord. With Him at my right hand, I will not be shaken.” Psalms 16:8 Not shaking but laughing! 😂 Then, you both can have joy and laugh about it.
