Infinity

“Our Lord is great, with limitless strength; we'll never comprehend what he knows and does.” Psalm 147:5

What do you think of when you think of God being infinite? My brain can’t even imagine “infinite.”

How can our finite minds understand all the infiniteness of God? Why would God even try to communicate with us who have finite minds? Because God loves us and wants a relationship with us. His Word is one way He communicates with us and reveals who He is. He is on our level there. His Word reaches every level of believers. We can begin to understand and experience Him through His Word.

He came to our world as a human to communicate who He is and to share His message with us directly. He showed us the way to understand and accept His message by walking and teaching among us and dying on the cross and then rising from the dead. He spoke on a level we could and can understand.

Through knowing Him and His Word, we learn God is omniscient (all-knowing), omnipotent (all-powerful), and omnipresent (all-places) AND infinite (without limits). We learn God is timeless (Rev. 1:8), limitless (Matt 19:26), and has no beginning and no end (John 1:1). There is no limit to Him or His power. There is no limit to His love.

We cannot limit the infinite God by our finite understanding. He can and will do more than we can imagine or think.
